Associate Professor at the Department of Mining Engineering and Education, PhD.
In 2003, he had been graduated the National Mining University on a specialty "Mining" (diploma with honors) and entered to postgraduate courses at the Mining Department. He has been working as an assistant of the Department after finishing postgraduate courses since 2006.
He gives practical lessons for the first, second, third and fifth-years students on the following subjects: "Fundamentals of Mining" (Eng. language), "Principles of Mining" (Eng. language), "Processes of Underground Mining", "Organization and Planning of Mining Operations", "Adoption of Technological Solutions in the Mining Industry".
O. Mamaikin combines scientific research with teaching and social work. During 2008 – 2013 worked as a secretary of the Admissions office of the Mining Faculty. Since 2006 and currently he is a secretary of the educational-scientific-production complex "Coal". Since 2013 holds the position of a secretary of the Mining Department. He productively works with high school graduate of I course on specialty "Mining". He is curator of the department for the training of students on the program "International University of Resources".
In October 2014, he defended thesis on a specialty 05.15.02 – "Underground Mining of Mineral Deposits". Oleksandr took an active part in scientific research of the Mining Department on topics GP – 410 and GP – 440. The main scientific activity is connected with the establishment of dependency interaction of elements in geomechanical system rock mass-support of workings by increasing resistance, establish the parameters of technological schemes of anthracite mines and level of their adapting to innovations that allows to manage the preservation capacity of the mines.
Total amount of research works is 28, among them: 13 in professional publications, 7 in the conference proceedings, 6 research articles in journals with high citation ratio Scopus, web of science, one collective monograph and one patent on the invention. He is co-author of the tutorial "Basic Concepts of Mining Technology".
