Associate Professor at the Department of Mining Engineering and Education, Ph.D.

   In 2008, he finished the National Mining University on specialty "Mining of Mineral Deposits" (specialist’s diploma with honors) and entered to postgraduate courses at Mining Department. In 2010, he got second education on specialty "Ecology and Environment Protection" (master’s diploma with honors, part-time education). During 2011 – 2014, he worked as an assistant of Mining Department. Since 2014, he holds a position of an associate professor of department.

     Mykhailo Petlyovanyi gives practical classes and design projects on following subjects: "Design of Mining Production", practical classes of "Mine-Computer Graphics", "Computer Technologies in Mining". He pays great attention to students during consultations conducting, combined active research and civil work. In addition, he worked as a secretary of Admission board of Mining Faculty during 2013-2014. Besides, he took part in conducting of two All-Ukrainian contents (2011, 2012) on Mining. In addition, he executed functions of a secretary of Mining Department and was responsible for department’s news on the site of National Mining University. Annually, he conducting occupational guidelines for schoolchildren in Dniprorydne, Zaporizhya region.

     In April 2013, Mykhailo defended candidate thesis on specialty 05.15.02 – "Underground Mining of Mineral Deposits". In addition, he was a performer of scientific-and-research works of university on topics GP – 410 and GP – 440.

     In December 2014, Mykhailo had been proved as a secretary of specialized Academic Board D08.080.03 on specialty 05.15.02 – "Underground Mining of Mineral Deposits" by an order of Ministry of Education and Sciences.

     His research work is connected with following directions: underground mining of ore deposits with solid backfilling; development of rational warehouses for backfill mixtures; physics-and-chemical basics for increasing backfilling massif strength; research of stress-strain state of rock massif at different stages of ore deposits mining with solid backfilling.

     Total amount of research works is 27, among them: 5 research papers with high citation ratio Scopus, Balkema and one monograph.
